Fall: the autumn season of change

Exploring a bucket list of options

Abundance of fall

Fall seems to come at us from nowhere, embracing us with color and sensations. The harvest season marks a half way count in our calendar before the winter months descend. As the leaves change color, we become hyper aware of the symbolism of fall. The season replete with an abundance of the harvest cornucopia. Its’ pulsating rhythm encompassing nature’s abundance to be seen in the bustling markets and overloaded kitchen tables where everyone gathers to give Thanks. Autumn is synonymous with plenty and the season to pause between the hectic summer months and the chill of winter to enunciate our gratitude. Today, as with ancient civilizations, Life cycles alter with the seasons, finding a rhythm that is integral to human civilization

Letting Go & Balancing

Gleaning lessons from nature, it is the time to slow down, reflect and re-evaluate. Balance and nurture ourselves and like the leaves from the tree try letting go. To remain strong and rooted in the ground, while we focus on the type of type of person we want to be at work, at home and in our relationships. As we engage in these transitional shifts let the season guide us with its bright foliage, crisp breeze, earthy tones and glorious tones.

Inspired by fall, I am enhancing my engagement by creating a Fall Bucket List. As I create my list, my excitement increases and helps me embrace the season. So here goes:

Knit a scarf or blanket

Take a pottery class

Create a DIY fall wreath

Learn something new with an online course

Make a fall playlist

Start an indoor garden

Create a scented candle

Color a fall coloring sheet

Rediscover the joy of playing board games with family and friends

Practice gratitude around the dinner table

Make a leaf art project with your family

Bake pumpkin bread or cookies or both

Go on a long fall hike

Visit a corn maze

Build a scarecrow

& the list is ongoing….

Readers dive in and tell me how fall, through its sensory experiences of the changing season spurs your personal growth. Lets share our stories and enhance each other.

We are stronger together
